I posted the first version of this a few days ago. It shows the whole wave and the rider in context. For this one, I cropped in quite a bit and it takes the guy out of the context of the wave, however, I think it is more powerful.

Taken on Big Wednesday, August 27th at Brooks St., Laguna. This is not a huge wave by big wave standards, it is big, however, for Laguna.

That Picture's Just Too Damn Busy!

Crystal Mill, Gunnison County, Colorado

I've wanted to see and make photographs of the Crystal Mill in Colorado for about 40 years. The mill is up in the mountains from Marble, Colorado. The drive takes about one hour for the 6 miles on a narrow, very rocky 4X4 road. I rented a jeep to get there. Was in 4 wheel drive, low range all the way.
