My French Friend

We found this guy standing on a street corner drinking his wine… straight from the bottle… and making cat calls to passerby's. He posed and I gave him a Euro or two.

IPhone Sunset

Taken 12/ 15 from Capistrano Beach…. Catalina is on the right side of the horizon, San Clemente Island is the lump toward the left side of the horizon… about 50 miles away. I did very little to enhance this. Taken with an iPhone.

Another Cooper's Hawk?

I think Wild Bill's Cooper's Hawk came for a drink at our birdbath this afternoon.

A Girl and Her Dog in B & W

I posted this a day or two ago. Since I posted that I made a few changes: I toned down the red shirt and car, I cloned out the leg / foot in the bottom left corner as well as cloning out the nosy German Shepherd. I then converted to B and W with a bit of sepia toning.

What do you think??

Posting Stuff

I'm noticing a significant contrast/darkness increase when B&W images go up on this site.  I imagine it is there with color.  Appears to be a new Google thing that we will just have to adjust for.  Or, perhaps I should restart the Thorazine.

Couple of Lucky Turkeys

These lucky turkeys have been hanging around in our neighborhood for three days. I guess they escaped the axe.

Pinnell Show

I want to thank all the Fallbrook Shutters members who have participated in the current Pinnell Gallery show. I think that the show looks great, maybe even better than ever with more space and fewer submissions. Jennifer did a great job hanging the show. Some excellent work this year.

I think that this is the last group show that I will be involved with for the foreseeable future. My plan is to have a solo show at the space next year. If any of you resourceful photographers wants to plan your own Fallbrook Shutters show at some alternate location, be my guest. Thanks once again to all of you.

In addition I plan on giving up my position as blog administrator for this website. If someone would like to take the reins and those duties, please get in touch.

Thank you,

Robert

No Access

I went to the Santa Margarita headwaters today to discover that the place has been fenced off and marked "No Trespassing".  This is a new development caused perhaps by the various homeless encampments or perhaps by research going on at the nearby ecological preserve.  Whatever it is it ain't nice.  I crossed the barbed wire for one last shot.

WHERE TO GO?
