Stokes by the Bigma
Robert let me use his new Sigma 50-500 (Bigma, 4.5 pounds) lens this morning. The image quality is very nice. This is from Robert's D7000. I added a curve to brighten the exposure and clarity for the texture.

Fourth Annual Fallbrook Shutters Group Show
All Shutters members are invited to submit six images for the show. I will pick my four favorites. Edit yourself with the strongest self criticism at your disposal. I reserve the right to invite a few outside people in if I think that their work merits the attention. If you have any suggestions, feel free.
We are getting a late start and I am going to be in and out of town. Please start thinking about your submissions now. Let me know if you plan on participating. Looking forward to another great show. If you have any questions, call me.
thanks,
Robert Sommers

These are made from the same negative. The brownish one was printed using the Palladium method. The black one is printed on traditional silver photographic paper.

Chris Isaak's Audience
I was at a Chris Isaak concert recently and I took this photo with my phone. This is one of the first photos I have taken with it. I tried to get photos of Chris but the lights were so strong on him that it just blew out the whole area around him. I think this sort of reflects the mood. About all I did do it was crop it a bit and applied noise reduction. It was pretty noisy.

Architectural Photos
I had the opportunity to shoot a house for some friends in Coto de Caza. The house is just being listed for sale. This is a different kind of photography than I usually do, but, it is fun as well as challenging. The house may now be sold after 2 days on the market! I am sure that it is because of the photos!!!
