November Show
If we are going to try to keep the November show going at the Pinnel Gallery we will probably have to get ourselves organized if we want the gallery to keep the spot open for us. Mike established that it is possible to have the show but it is a good idea for us to decide what we want to do and let the gallery in on the secret. I suggest we discuss it on Saturday and possibly appoint Mike as the ambassador to the gallery if we want to go ahead.

Mike Reardon and all...
Adobe announced some really fantastic new features and products today. You can see the official Adobe details at this URL
https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud.html
Very short summary:
1. Lightroom mobile is now available for iPhone and has added the ability to add star ratings to images and to set custom order of images in the thumbnails.
2. New Adobe mobile apps for iPad
Sketch = sketching app
Line = Line drawing app
Ink = hardware pen to draw on touch screen
Ruler = digital ruler to use on touch screen for lines, curves and circles
Mix = Photoshop like app that includes layers and masks
All these work with your files you have stored in your creative cloud folders (2GB of storage) and when updated show up in their modified form in the desktop app - Photoshop or Lightroom.
All available right now.

Hi All,
Mike asked me to update Fallbrook Shutters on what transpires at the Adobe CC online briefing this morning.
The event hasn't started, but this link from ZDnet Tech is a story about what is known so far:

Birthday boy! 90 years old and photographed by Ken Seals
In
honor of President George H.W. Bush whose birthday is today. I took
this portrait of him in Lawrence, KS, in 1972 when he was the US
Ambassador to the UN. I treasure this autographed copy especially since
he used the image as his official portrait for several years.

Zoofari
On our trip to the zoo, I know that my buddies got much better animal images than I did. I took a few shots that maybe they didn't. These are some of my impressions of the Zoo.
This is the only gorilla I saw. On the side of a bus.
This is the sign you see on entering the zoo.
This is the only Tiger we saw. On a sign as you exit.

This is a sighting of the very elusive Zebra Hat. they are endangered and you can only see them at the Zoo.
It was a fun day, I hope to do it again soon!

Short Movie
Here is a short video made in India about why some of those folks hang in with film. The strength I see in it is their understanding of the tactile and physical nature of chemical photography. The fatal weakness seems to be the fact that no one outside of the photographer cares about this. That has been the problem for lots of media, that is, the challenges of producing work are utterly irrelevant to the observer. The content is the thing and digital does as good or a better a job of conveying content as any other form of photography.. The whole history of photography has been tumultuous and disruptive as multiple methods compete with each other.
Oh well, I won't solve it and to boot I am a digital "traitor, having finally put up the white flag over most chemical photo efforts. So, here it the link to the movie:
