Warthogs

I would like to turn this into an artistic print using solar plate or some other technology.

  1. It is already artistic!! You might try using some NIK filters on it. It has lots of choices.

  5. Of course, it could also make a good Gum print with black, sienna and ochre.

  8. One of the things that could come up is that this looks like a split toned image. Processes vary in their ability to achieve this. As a printer, Dixon may well be able to do this with little trouble or the process could fight you like a tiger, I dunno. This could also be printed on silver photo paper and split toned with silenium and gold toners. I actually have the chemistry on hand to take a shot at it but it is a big job and requires a digital negative so it could turn into a two day project. I mention this to give you an option as I have gone to "photo hell" many times in my adventures with alternative processes.

  9. Ho, ho, I forgot to mention the wonderful working conditions in my "darkroom". Nothing quite like spending a couple of days in a dim hot and humid environment with the trays of "soup" and an ancient transistor radio squeaking away in a desperate attempt at providing distraction.

  11. Are you thinking about dye sublimation on metal?
