Alright, between the agave picture and the Santa Rosa Plateau picture, I am about ready for the rubber room. The only salvation for me is that my heart belongs to palladium-a monochrome method. The subtlety of the colors in both images really seems different than what you usually see. Santa Rosa tends to go kinda harsh with my sensor, so enquiring minds want to know, did you tune the color on these images, do some dark magic with Lightroom or are you simply a god on earth. I suspect Canon has some magical sensor they aren't telling anyone about. Hell, I am going under the house to develop another sheet of Ilford film so I can forget this :-)
Jon... I appreciate your humor.... a lot!!! As well as the nature of your compliments. I am using NIK filter... Color Efex Pro 4, at least on the rock I did. I went back and looked at the agave and I did not use Color Efex on it. I thought I had. I did try Color Efex on the agave but I liked it without better.
On the agave, I used a number of different PS adjustments. I think i was lucky with my original capture. I also did quite a bit of darken curves. Quite a bit of the original image was much lighter.
