I have not done many flower shots. I generally find them to be pretty but also pretty boring. I like the colors in this one, particularly the blurred background colors. I hope you don't find it boring!!!
You're getting scary, Mike. That channeling Ansel Adams thing. This is a beautiful image and the fact it's a rose is neither here nor there. What with the backlight, the soft-focus background and the colors contrasting with the background ... the subject is all but beside the point. Very cool.
