You have to admire their honesty.

Gimme Some Fresh Air

Alternate title: "Two Tough Guys"

Library Show

I had another look at the library show yesterday.  After a number of viewings my opinion is that the best image is Ken's "Color Guard".  The combination of the VFW guys and active duty people, facial expressions and sense of living history give the image staying power.  I value images that are worth viewing more than once and which have depth.  This image has those traits and is wonderfully composed and printed.

Also regarding the pictures of the model jumping into the water.  Here is a link to some Washington Post images in a similar vein that do not have the contrived appearance of the Fallbrook images.

Step right up

Football

In response to Mike's challenge in the comments section of the prior post I proudly present proof that the view camera is an excellent tool for photographing action.

Tilt and Shift lens in reverse

I stand corrected. This is the second and last canon image you will see me post.
It is with Tom's 5D and 24mm tilt/shift lens tilted backward to create a very shallow depth of field.
I know that Robert will point out that you can now do this is Photoshop CS 6.

Bruce At Caffe Primo

Shot with Tom Sauerwine's canon 5D. This is probably the ONLY time you will see a post by me with a canon camera and lens. Thanks, though to Tom for the use of his camera.

Jesus Wallet

The guy who owns this wallet told me that he bought it so no one would steal it. It's working so far.

Cactus Flower

This was taken in the very late afternoon, almost dark. No flash. I set the ISO to 1000, f 4.5, 1/13 second.
