  1. THANKS FOR THE INFO. JON.. THIS LOOKS LIKE A TERRIFIC PRINTER MADE TO PRODUCE VOLUME. I USE AN EPSON 7900 AND AN EPSON 3800. MY VOLUME IS EVEN TWO LOW FOR THESE AND I CONSEQUENTLY GET PLUGGED NOZZLES QUITE FREQUENTLY -- A PAIN IN THE ASS AND A LOSS OF EXPENSIVE INK. THE PRINTS, HOWEVER, ARE VERY, VERY GOOD. LOUIS N.

  2. I use a smaller Epson, a 2400 which makes pigment prints up to 13"x19" and uses the little cartridges. It is effective for me as I don't often print but it could drive a person who prints a lot crazy as the small cartridges can run out quickly. My understanding is that dye sublimation printers give color equivalent to color photo paper but they aren't made for the small volume market and they are short on stability compared to pigment printers. The monster dye sub. printer appealed to my sense of humor as I imagined some dude with one in his garage next to his Porsche while his Cadillac is forced by the printer to live in the driveway in the rain.
