This is very interesting. I am a fan of subtle images but often experience frustration even with representational stuff that subtle. Viewers these days seem to expect the image to "pop" and provide a quick thrill. Oh well, I am once again behind my time.
Looking at images without readily apparent visual hooks is a pretty demanding intellectual exercise. I appreciate it but can't say that it exactly massages my "sweet tooth."
